Overview & Highlights

This is for you if: You want to put down some killer times and lines on race day, or become a more efficient paddler on your local run

The Green Race, Jerry's Baddle, Nolichucky Beat Nightfall, Battle of the Broad, the Ocoee Race. These are just some of the whitewater races that bring competitors from around the globe to the rivers of the Southeast. Whether you want to train to become an elite-level racer or simply lay down the best time you can, get your mind and body right with twenty plus year Green Race veteran Adam Herzog. We will start with the fundamentals of kayaking and stroke work and then progress to down river race techniques, interval training and the psychology of racing. Primary venue is the Nolichucky Gorge, an excellent training ground to fine tune fundamentals, sharpen river running skills and put the hammer down with the goal of shaving seconds. Whether you're planning for your first race or are already an experienced boater and want to take your race performance to the next level, you won't find a better coach and trainer to help you achieve your goals. And, if racing isn't your thing, this class is also a great way to become an all-around more proficient, and efficient, downriver paddler.

This is a free mini-clinic for experienced paddlers with class IV skills and a bomb proof roll. Students are expected to bring their own boat and gear.  Want to really take your paddling to the next level? Schedule customized private coaching with Adam. Contact us for more information.
