Where to Stay on the Nolichucky
Get the most out of your backcountry adventures with NOLI
NOLI’s backpacking, camping, and hiking classes and events will teach you how to plan and execute a trip, select gear, plan meals, set up camp, and stay safe.. The classes are conducted in the beautiful Appalachian Highlands of Northeast Tennessee and provide the perfect backdrop to learn and apply these skills. Additionally, hiking events will give you the opportunity to explore the most spectacular areas of Eastern Tennessee with experienced guides. These classes and events are perfect for gaining the knowledge and skills needed for hiking, camping or backpacking anywhere your adventures may take you.
Our experienced team of backpacking, camping and hiking instructors are not only great teachers, they also practice what they preach. They include AT thru-hikers, CDT thru-hikers, hammock hangers, camp cooking aficionados, backpacking guides, multi-day kayak camping trip leaders and day hike guides. In other words, these folks know what they’re doing. And they’re eager to share those experiences and talents with you so that you get the most enjoyment out of your own adventures.

You don’t have to be athletic or uberfit but will want to possess a reasonably good level of health and fitness for these trips and be comfortable walking up the inevitable hills we’ll encounter. Most of our hiking locations are rated as easy to moderate in difficulty. We take a leisurely pace (roughly 2 miles per hour) and include frequent breaks along the way.
